MG TF

Does anyone own an MGTF? We're changing our car and are thinking about getting an MG TF. Everyone we know seem to say the same thing, that they are lovely to drive etc..
MrsG-L

I dont but I am very jealous!!
MrsCW

Nope, we have a Mitsubishi FTO Orangy/Gold flip paint and a Renault Grande Scenic.
Tinap

not us - we only have a polo (polly) and hubby drives an alfa romeo, wouldn't mind an mg tho  Laughing
shaniannie

lol don't talk to me about MG's Razz

H2B is a HUGE HUGE HUGE MG fan! He's owned a few... the old classic ones (before I met him) MGB, MGBGT... Then he had an MG ZR.

Our current family car is our 2005 MG ZS. My car is a Rover 25 (the car the ZR was based on).

Paul's trying to convince his mum to get a TF for herself. I have to say, they are beautiful cars, and for the price, you get a lot of car for your money (mainly because as you'll know, MG went bust so there are no warranties etc). They handle SO well on the roads, but the ride is hard - it's a sports car, not a luxury car, so the suspension is hard.

Why don't you go test drive one to see how you like it? Smile

When will men realise that a stunning blonde (or a fat pregnant woman!) will get attention whatever car they drive!!! hehe
If I didn't feel so pants I'd be tempted to take hubby's Mistsubishi FTO out for a drive btu I find it a right pain in the bum trying to get in and out of it!

got my MG, in racing green with the green soft top, quite rare. 02 reg, with 30 000 miles on the clock, in perfect condition, checked it all out and everything. Picking it up on saturday!
And we can even afford to keep the golf!
shaniannie

Yay! so happy for you!!!! Very Happy 30k on the clock is good too! Our MG only had 7k on it when we bought it but has 30k on it now, and it's an 05!!!!!

We wanna a picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!
G

That's the one. Shame it's the only picture they had on the website and we didn't think about taking some yesterday. It's beautiful!
maggieosh

Very sexy!
shaniannie

loooooooooovely!!!!

H2B also said going for a TF (as opposed to an F) was a much better choice as they're more up to date and less likely to suffer from the common head gasket failures Smile
Tinap

ooooh very nice - i like a lot!
MrsRaggle

Very nice!!

Thanks girls, really can't wait to have it on Saturday!
My chap's cousin worked at MG and said the same. Mind you, the F are too girly looking and it's both our car! We checked the oil dipstick in the others and you could see all the white bits, which is an indication of head gasket failure. He even said to stay well clear from cars where the head gasket had been done, because it's such a hard and expensice job to do that the only way to see if it was done well was to take the engine apart and look.
Anywa, roll on saturday!
MrsBella

Oooh G that is a very nice car... I love the colour. x
G

Yeah, a bit self indulgent maybe but I've always wanted a racing green car.
MrsBella

so are you enjoying your new car yet??
G

I love it! It's so nice to drive. Yes, it is 6 years old but it's lovely.
If you get a chance to have one or drive one, go for it girls. It handles so well and it's so responsive. I feel like a grown up now!
MrsBella

I'm jelous any new car would suit me right now
