I wonder IF the adverts can be removed BUT with it being a free forum I'm not sooooo sure.
I didn't know you'd stopped using Confetti (yes girls, it can be said... remember we don't want to be like GD Misfits who do a 'divide') until last night.
I must of not been using their forum over the time whatever happened (I don't know actually what did happen!)

Heard a bit about what happened, sounds awful.
Yes, Confetti deleted 2 of my posts which was enough for me to declare I'd never go back. Didn't get round to registering on any other forum, so quite handy maria emailed!!!!
Are there many who have also left and decided NEVER to go back??
I had a quick lookie on (as a guest lol) and it still looked quite busy!! 
Oh I doubt you'd be able to get rid of the adverts, as well - the company that do this for free for you need to get money somehow. Shame! But an irritating necessity most of the time.
I love how you've broken down the forums and the cheeky names! Fab!!

From what I know (I'm an admin on another forum - parenting one, mainly US on there - we use phpbb) it's not the forum that has the ads - it's because it's free webspace, so it's their way of making money to pay for the hosting of the site... if you get what I mean lol

To be honest, I've experienced certain 'dark siders' who have had a right go at me in the past.... those "oldies" in here MAY remember the abuse I got SO when it came to it this time, I replied a few times then thought "Bugger Yer, I don't need it" (Leoni can vouch as I was chatting to her - and Dawn - all of Tuesday)
I decided then that maybe I'd outlived my time with Confetti to be honest.

Well, I think recent events have really bothered some people.
Me personally, I'm not going back BUT I was just there offering advice and help so I didn't need the site too much but the bride's preparing their weddings should still frequent, me thinks, I don't think anyone on here wants anyone to "abandon ship"... afterall, if it wasn't for Confetti we wouldn't all know each other.

Well CW, both me and you are terribly offensive and worth censoring!!! I read a bit whilst still on Confetti about previous harrassment of yours truly but it was before my time, now I hear they deleted ALL your posts???? Or is that not it?
My CRIME (evil evil me) was to post on a thread written by Confetti which said "congratulations to us, we've been voted best wedding website" and so I said "congratulations, however considering you don't answer your forum users regarding technical problems, and your haphazzard moderating you're damn lucky you won!" It was deleted and not responded to, proving my point entirely.
Immediately thereafter I posted in a thread that someone else had started about fetti's problems and said "Grrrrr, they deleted my post" to which - they deleted my post and closed the thread.
I posted my own thread to say I was off due to deletion, and.... they closed the thread. I since had an email saying that my posts were offensive and Naming And Shaming was not allowed!!!! 
I have since replied via email to explain why I thought they were out of order and haven't yet received a response. I'm going to reply again, asking why they haven't replied and THEN post it all on to the CEO of Confetti. It was all done by Hassan.
The way you have been treated, considering EVERYTHING you did for the members on that forum is an absolute disgrace.
Let's just say I am SOOOOO happy that for my wedding I haven't bought anything from them yet and certainly don't intend to!!!
As for further suggestions, I keep trying to think of the rhyme about their being a party and having your knickers in the air but I can't think of the wording!! I quite like "I'll cry if I want to", although I admit that posts wont be about 'crying'.....
I'll think about it!!

Yep that's exactly what they did. No warning - ZILCH! I found out as I went to do the Wedding Alerts very late on Monday night (as I often did) and couldn't find the post, so then hunted about and the only time I appeared on the search engine was were someone had 'quoted' me. There were NO posts of mine at all!

How bloody childish of them! Do they NOT know how to stand tall and accept when they haven't being able to commit properly. They've had an issue with lack of committment to the forum for YONKS and what they forget is a HUGE percentage of the forum users are their buyers. Personally, thats how I discovered the forum. It's just a very poor case of Customer Service in my eyes.

Bloody hell (I'm using the word 'bloody' alot tonight!)!!! When you need to react quickly to stuff (someone being offensive in a HUGE way) they don't.... when NO reaction is needed they jump in as if they are in a diving competition!

What a huge pile of BOLLOX! I never voted as I think the members are the ones who made that site (I don't mean physically of course) and it should of been a award to the Confetti Members as the mods really haven't done much at all. Certainly not in the latter months.

This is mainly why I decided I wasn't going to log in anymore, and I haven't. I didn't do a goodbye post as I didn't want to "create" and give the Misfits (and you know which membrs I mean) an 'opportunity'.

I've ordered from them before, plus I had the items in my basket for some time before ordering them and I couldn't be bothered doing any more searches, oh well, I'll report back if I have any problems.

They haven't contacted me AT ALL.
I did go on and lurk this morning (I think) and saw a post from Kate from Confetti saying basically that she came in this morning and her inbox was jam packed with complaints about the shocking treatment of my removal of posts.... SO she 'tried' to explain.
Basically, they have admitted that all the posts shouldn't of been removed (basically a lazy mode) but then she went on and on about repetitive advertising and how I would of gotten an email (btw I bloody well didn't) prior to any removal!
Then she goes on to say why they don't allow advertising....
They keep zooming in on the advertising BUT how does that explain the Wedding Date threads going along with all of the Info Threads and basically everything I ever did?????

I sent Hassan an email today saying that I was still waiting for his response, and as he was 'Community Manager' he had a duty to respond...
And well, he did reply........
The weirdest email!! Kind of flamed Confetti for giving him a shit PC and that all the emails he has received personally attacking him has led him to quit!!!!!
Weird or what. And I had no idea what to reply, I did kind of feel sorry for him....

To be honest Maggie, I thought I'd be bothered but I'm not. so it goes to show that it was the right time to leave... maybe they did me a favour.
As for making money from here, the forums been made open for anyone to promote any items they have to sell on. The forums a free one though and it wasn't created to be a money earner... just a nice place for nice people!

OMG Now that is a bizarre post. I woudl personally definate be contacting the COE of Confetti and attaching the email from Hassan.... if just to prove that having 3 people moderating a forum so big (and with nasties on) just isn't enough.
