It took 7 weeks but I have it back! Yey!! But as luck would have it the next morning we got up to go to work and the back left tyre was flat!!! I took it to kwik fit last night and there was a nail in it but because it had been flat and I'd had to drive it to the garage to inflate it the trye had damaged, the back right tyre needed replacing as well, I didn't need to replace it there and then but I though "lets just get it all sorted". It cost nearly £200 as I have sports tyres on my car and because I drive on the motor way each day I need a decent tyre.

Anyway it's all sorted and I'm glad to have my "Megan" back  Very Happy

My car went into the garage for a few weeks about 2.5 years back and I actually preferred the courtesy car! I was quite sad to have mine back!

I'd be lost without our Scenic HOWEVER we need to look for a much bigger car (and we have a Grande Scenic atm). It's just a struggle with a wheelchair (hoist in the boost), a travel system for Lula and a Baby Car Seat!

Ok, here's a bit of history with me car wise. My first car was a Vauxhall Corsa 3 dr 1.2 petrol in metallic Silver R reg, I paid £3150.00 in Oct 2001 and I bloody loved that car, I named him Bertie (Bertram when he broke down  Laughing ) everyone called him Bertie!!! I really looked after him and being young and a new driver I changed the pedels and gear stick and got an alloy tax disk holder etc ... you get the picture. He ended up being sold after a lot of problems and the head gasket finally blew, I sold him for £1100 in early Jan 2005. I bought my 2nd car a Peugeot 206 3dr 1.8 diesel in a pale metallic green X Reg in Jan 2005 for £3000 about a week after selling Bertie and I pretty much had issues with this car from day one, I never did any research before buying and other than cosmetics I didn't really care I loved the "look" of the car. I never really bonded with this car and my Dad had to put up the rest of the cash to buy it so I wasn't pleased that I hadn't done it myself like I had with Bertie (Bank loan). Anyway I let the car go to sh*t basically. I reversed into a bollard at work and never got the dint sorted, I never vacced or cleaned it out and the boot and back seats were just packed with rubbish and bits n bobs. Eventually after a massive amount of money being spent on the car (all helped by my dad!!!) the steering went and I just got it scrapped for a return of £50!!! At the time my parents were in Amsterdam and I was left to sort it all out (My Dad always came to the rescue for which I am fortunate but I always wished I could sort things out on my own as I am very independant). I managed to hire a car for a week and spoke to my bank as the original loan I had taken out for my 1st first car (and over the years had re-taken out etc) was due to end (this was last June) I managed to secure a loan to pay off the outstanding on my last loan all at the same rate I had already been paying for a further 3 years plus I had 3 months before I had to pay anything so I had extra money. I did a lot of searching for a car but they had either been sold or were too pricey/old etc then I found a local garage on the net and saw a pic of a late 2005 Renault megane I called the garage and they still had it as it had just been put on the internet, this was at about 4pm on the Friday. I spent all evening researching that car and made a list of all the things to look out for when viewing it, I called friends in the trade and basically did a lot of research. On the Saturday morning ( I didn't have my hire car by this time) I got a taxi to the garage and had a good old look at this car, I asked a load of questions and asked to see every part of the car and the log book, I had a test drive and was in love!!!! Anyway I've gone on far too long about this but on the monday I paid my £200 deposit and bought my new Renault Megane Oasis 1.4 16V 3dr late 2005 reg in metallic grey for £5100 with 1 years tax, service and MOT, the Oasis was a limited version that basically had everything (alloy wheels, sport tyres, panoramic sunroof, air con, cd, coloured bumpers etc etc), I did it all by myself with no financial help from my parents etc. Anyway my entire point was to say that I basically transferred the contents of the Peugeot into the boot of the megane and then over time my old habits came back and the back seat was full of junk and under the drivers seat was about 4 pairs of shoes!!! So today after shopping I went into the car and cleared it all out. The boot now has 2 medium sized plastic boxes (basically over sized tupperware boxes with pink lids) in one I have all my car bits (de-icer, polish, wipes, torch etc) and the other has my shoes. The rest is all clear and clean as it should be. I am so pleased with my car and love it, I never bonded with the peugeot and I have with the Renault and she's called Megan and I will even go as far to say that I feel smug driving her as she is a beautiful car and such a smooth ride and in the future I think I will stick to Renaults as the rides are fab.....MrsCW do you agree???

Christ I didn't realise I had gone on so much, all I wanted to say was that I had given my car a good clean out  Laughing  It must be the wine I'm drinking!
